Nervy Simba SC edge out Red Arrows FC on Aggregate to Progress to the CAF Confederation Cup Group Stages.

Red Arrows 2-1 win over Simba at the Heroes National Stadium in Lusaka in the second leg match of  the CAF Confederation Cup was not enough for the Zambian side to progress to the group stages of the competition as it was too little, too late.

Simba have instead qualified on a 4-2 aggregate scoreline, following their first leg 3 - 0 win at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

Goals from Ricky Banda just before the half in the 44th Minute of the game and Joseph Phiri Just after the start of the second half in the 47th minute, left Simba Fans sweating in Agony as they wondered if a repeat upset result was on the cards ( Following the comeback elimination by Botswana's Jwaneng Galaxy in the CAF Champions League ).

However Simba Managed to hold on their nerves and kept their act together under pressure, it was ultimately Hassan Dilunga who got reassuring and precious away goal in the 67th minute of the game , a goal that all but guaranteed Simba's Qualification as it meant that the Zambians had to score 4 more times.
